Scene75 Brand
Branding, Art Direction, Storytelling, Signage Design
Scene75 is a chain of award-winning indoor family entertainment centers started in Dayton, Ohio. Since 2014 I have been molding the creative direction and brand identity throughout its growth from a single entertainment center to five award-winning facilities: (Dayton, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, & Chicago).
Scene75 is a brand built around excitement, simple patterns, and bold colors. The overarching tone and all marketing pieces exude energy without feeling too juvenile or busy.
What Does it Mean to Be the Best – Campaign
Storytelling, Marketing, Copywriting, Content Creation
In 2021, Scene75 won for the second time, IAAPA’s Top Family Entertainment Center of the World. In order to promote the award in a comprehensive way that resonated with our team & guests, I developed the “What Does it Mean to be the Best,” campaign.
The messaging is sentimental, nostalgic and geared to inspire love for the brand and for the work that is: creating lasting memories for the communities that support us.

Nuclear Rush
Attraction Theming, Theming, Attraction Design
I developed the theme for Scene75’s first indoor roller coaster, Nuclear Rush, with the goal of universal appeal in mind. This thought process was critical in an Ohio market where most guests are familiar with coasters that soar hundreds of feet in the air. We wanted this ride to be appealing to adults so that a young couple on a date night wouldn’t pass on the attraction as a “kid’s ride.”
Everything from the name , color palette, and care design follow a radioactive nuclear theme. The ride appears energetic and bold. The final result is just the right amount of bright, attention-grabbing colors without being too juvenile.
Nuclear Rush stands out while still blending with the rest of the attraction lineup and offerings in Scene75 Columbus.
Sunset Mini-Golf
Attraction Theming, Attraction Design, Project Management
Transports guests into a distant, yet familiar tropical paradise right at sunset.
Large picturesque sunset scenes wrap the walls of the mini-golf course, designed as a glowing backdrop for the tropical foliage. From the palm trees to the scorecards, every touchpoint transports the player to a tropical getaway right as they step on the green.
Super Scene & Gumball
Mascot/IP Development, Illustration, Product Design
Mascots are a great way to add experimental value to a younger audience. With most of Scene75’s offerings geared towards older children and adults, we identified a gap in our brand.
Concepting & creating the Super Scene Character was a straightforward process. he captures a nondescript age and has a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Gumball, his sidekick, required a few phases of development. The character started as a humanoid dog dressed as a superhero that would translate smoothly into a costumed character.
From there, I pivoted and researched dog breeds with personalities best representing our brand. The final Gumball is a warm and fluffy golden retriever, ready for adventure!
Escape Velocity
Attraction Concepting and Design, Logo Design, Theming
The definition of escape velocity is the minimum speed needed for an object to escape from the gravitational influence of a massive body. The concept of Escape Velocity launched roller coaster came from that very definition.
I developed a storyboard for the ride concept and theming along with branding and a logo.
The ride theme centers around a fictional ’50s space training program. The interactive queue entertains guests while they wait and play with exaggerated and humorous etiquette ideas that wouldn’t be necessary today.
Coaster Count
App Concept
Coaster enthusiasts love to seek out and research different roller coasters. From their hometown amusement park to venues worldwide, coaster enthusiasts will go go any lengths to pursue their passions.
I created the concept for an app that would benefit this niche hobby. The app design helps enthusiasts track their travels, stay up-to-date on industry news, and connect with other like-minded thrill seekers.
I looked at other GPS map applications, lists, and clean designs to decide on my bold typography and iconography. Together, these elements create an app that is easy to read on-the-go.
